I recommend all weapons given to newbies on creation be made of iron as opposed to what they are made of now. Secondly, I recommend that they are given a suede backpack on creation that they wear to hold all their things. Thirdly, I recommend that they are given a 'glowing stone' or something to hold in their hand that glows, instead of the stupid tinderboxes and torches that -no one ever uses and I've never used since starting 7 years ago-. This will help newbies who really are completely clueless a great, great deal. |

I disagree on the first point, simply because a practice dagger is exactly the same as an iron dagger, just made of weaker material. There's no point in giving them an iron dagger on start-up. The second point, I agree with wholeheartedly. Lunch sacks are a waste of space, and you can't store crap in them. As to your third request, I both agree and disagree. If they replaced the torches and tinderboxes with glowing rings, or something similar, I'd agree. But replacing tinderboxes and torches with another thing to hold in your hand is a rather useless change, IMO. |

Newbie weapons are fine, since they don't (didn't?) ever break in the newbie area. I'd wholeheartedly support a newbie container that was carried somewhere besides the hands. Having to struggle with dark vision is an important part of certain classes. Glowy things for free would underplay this difference. |

I feel every starting area should be modeled exactly like the Taslamarian Academy. That place is brilliant. Maybe mix up the design for each starting place but copy the premise of it and no newbies will ever be wanting. |

I have no real problem with wooden weapons in the newbie schools so long as they dont break there which they dont. Glowing items should be for sale in some capacity but it likely should still be hand held. Getting someone to make an item to glow at least promotes RP with other people. The taslamar newbie school has a glowing stone if I am not mistaken. Backpacks I am all for all containers that you cant wear most of the time are rather useless. At least make them like the bags from Teron than go in the waist slot. |

Backpacks sound great. Also, further lowered starting area vendor prices/ increased coin drop would help. |

Need the backpack. I usually go to ayamao just to get a pouch, and sometimes I will star there to get the elflight. |

all of those sound good to me. No need to perplex newbies with items nobody ever uses. |
