I'd like to see a command where you type and it immediate breaks any further actions your character is going to do.

For example:

I type e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e

and as I walk, realize I typed too many 'e's, so I type halt and afterwards all the commands I had queued are stopped.

Same with typing

c 'magic missile' x50

It'll finish that cast, but all the further commands entered are erased.

Can we get something like this?

The game only processes one command at a time. It is your client which feeds them sequentially to the game.

When I hit 'enter', it sends the command to the mud in the form of a packet. The mud receives it and keeps it in some form of buffer. The mud then executes the next command when the current one has been processed.

It -should- be possible for the mud to look for the halt command and clear a character's command buffer.

Its certainly possible. The better question is how much work would it take. That depends on the way the buffer is setup...

ALT + F + R = reconnect for zmud users, then it takes a second or two to enter name/PW.

As good as it gets.

It should be possible to achieve the desired result by clever client coding.
