I am curious to see if there are skills, spells, and/or abilities that people think that just plain suck (as being discussed in e-drain thread) or needs some sort of tweak to have actual gameplay value.

Detect poison. The simple fix, as has been said previously, to make this spell infinitely more useful is to make it an actual detection, that will show poison/plague flags on affected objects and NPCs.

Detect magic is also pretty pointless.

The hell it is. Its nice to know what NPCs are charmed or just sitting around. Also its good to know if your charmed NPC has innate sanc or not, or other pets. Or looking at another player and seeing if they have an enchanted kit or not.

Blitzkrieg. Only useful to lose quicker in a losing situation or against foes you dont need to try against or train weapons. Adding slight lag to your foe would make this useful or when you are not the target of a foes attack.

Bless - A really neat spell but I wish you could either cover the whole group with one spell/concentration, or just be able to cast it on one person in the group.

I get annoyed by having to bless the whole group then release everyone but the tank.

Agreed. As Tshotha-Lantier I used detect magic often. I checked for sanctuaries on people and other things. It's not useless.
