Why do aggressive NPCs follow hellions after they fail their intimidate roll? It seems that whenever I intimidate a NPC then move to a different room the NPC will follow me.

I think if the NPC is too scared to attack me it sure as hell will not willingly follow me.

I think it's just based on the NPC and his tendency to follow, I've had some aggro NPCs that follow one or two leagues then stop. Or don't follow at all.

My question is why does intimidate never seem to train? Why is there no advanced trainer? Not bitching over the slow train just wondering why it never seems to train, I understand that its a cha base skill so a high cha = faster train?

AFAIK, higher int = faster train for all skills and spells. The relavent stat only helps for success in checks.

Though not my original question I would have to concur. I have noticed it takes a long time to improve, even if you are trying to improve it. Yes, I remember someone posting earlier that it's easy to train if you know how to do it. Unfortunately, I don't know that way :(

One thing I wouldn't mind seeing is an advanced trainer for it. I mean anything to very good would help out and make the slow training progress a little more tolerable.

BTW, my INT + MODS = Max. So it is a slow train.

It's because the skill 'Intimidate' has nothing to do with actually intimidating your opponent.

In game terms and when the skill triggers successfully, it prevents your foes to attack you physically or with a self cast spell for the duration of 1 tick.

When you intimidate a NPC, if you move immediatly after receiving the first line on your clint "X cowers from your might presence" they will not follow you. If you wait after the first message then they will follow you.

I don't know why. This is the way it is.

Curiosity killed the cat. Even the scardy cat is ultimately curious and will continue to chase its prey even when it may very well be doomed.

I dunno. We're just mice in this maze anyway.
