Sling stones

When you identify the sling stones, they claim to be weapons, so why can't you enchant them?

The same thing with arrows would guess, but you enchant the sling to get the effect that you want not the stones.

The key segment there is "a large stone ammo." The slingstone isn't a weapon type, it's an ammo type. If it said, "a large stone weapon" then you'd be able to use enchant weapon on it. You can enchant the sling, not the ammo that goes in it.

The problem with sling stones is they are stone and weigh to much and take up to much space. Sling stones need to be changed like arrows where so you can actually carry a reasonable amount.

I sort of thought slings weren't ment to be good.

The entire April 2007 code changes werent meant to be good. Including the implementation of slings.

This should be in gameplay.

Ammo can't be enchanted, end of story.

The real complaints about sling stones should be that they weigh too god damn much, and the stones crumble after being used once.

You can buy sling stones that dont crumble, but they still weigh to much
