I was having a discussion with a GM merk that isn't speced in shortbow, and we talked about how many attacks we get, he gets more, than I do, with fourth attack, and with haste, he gets more. :/ Is there any way to do anything to rapid shot for scouts?

Dulrik has already said he knows about this and this is how he wants it. Scouts are bushmen and hunters. Mercenaries are trained soldiers who are are specilialists at combat.

The way it is is the way it's supposed to be concept wise on this mud. I don't expect it to change.

Now I know there are annomoly and such but on my Mentor elf Scout with master in both bow and rapid shot and third attack I've managed 8 attacks. I've also competed with a sprite scout at one point for most consistant attacks with a bow. Him being a scout of GM level and master at all pre-req skills he was getting 5-6 a round normally and clearing 8+ on haste.

As a bushman who uses his bow so much I would assume he knows his weapons (which is a lesser skillset) just as good as a merchant of war. Mercs learn a broad range (meaning they have limited knowledge in each weapon) and are specialists in certain weapons (advanced training). This is just how I see it. Mercs should not be getting more attacks than a scout with a bow unless spec.

mercs, barbs and swashbucklers just get extra attacks when hasted.

They don't need extra hits, there are too many extra perks for scouts to justify buffing them.

What scouts need is not a speed buff, but an accuracy buff to shooting.

Same level skill as Rapid Shot called Aimed Shot..

At lower levels it would make their first shot more accurate, by GM it would make all their shots more accurate.

I haven't been noticing any logs of scouts missing their shots. What would be the point of increasing their accuracy?

Scout don't "need" anything.

Want me to send you a few?

Of course, my scout's an amateur, and is only fair at bow, but he misses. :)
