You soar east.

A Rogue's Den
The earthen walls that were above you have quickly turned into sturdy,
natural granite. Chisel marks have been deeply cut into the stone, giving
sign of deliberate alteration. A large fire pit in the center of the room
burns brightly, a large stack of wood lays near by likely to be used as
fodder for the hungry flames. Several fine purses lay on the floor here,
all have been emptied and haphazardly discarded.
Obvious exits: n w u

A Treasure Room
Piles of wealth lay strewn about the floor here carelessly. Priceless
tapestries and paintings line the wall in a sporadic arrangement that
suggests thoughtlessness. Piles of silver, gold and other precious metal
dining ware is piled up in several heaps along with gems and jewelry. As
you look around the room, one chest in particular catches your eye. Carved
with intricate vines and leaves, it is bound securely with chains, leaving
you to wonder if something extraordinarily valuable is contained inside.

I don't understand how ICly a templar can just go ethereal. This is really bad coding IMO, might aswell make ethereal herbs that are 2 gold storebought if every law NPC can now go ethereal.

If this is going to stay implemented atleast make the NPCs a mage NPC. I almost shat myself because I was in utter disbelief that I was fighting a paladin ethereal..

Apparently you've never been outlawed in Zhenshi. Ethereal griffarbs ftw. I'm sure this is because some dip used etherealform to abuse and circumvent law code. I sincerely hope it doesn't change exactly because some dip will try to abuse circumvent law code.

It doesn't make any IC sense to have ethereal NPCs that aren't mages. Nor does it make and OOC sense then "some guy" who abused the system. Just delete his character, and continue on. This is the stupidest code. Another reason why tribunals are getting superbuffed. Thank god it wasn't a barb. If I was bashed while ethereal, I would be bitching much more than this.

By that logic, because you were attempting to use etherealform to move through an area that you were outlawed in without having to submit to the law code, you should be deleted for it. Kthnx bai.

Instead, why don't we just leave bounty NPCs able to go ethereal, some law NPCs already flagged ethereal, and go about our merry business without QQ for a lawmob wimp that doesn't need doing.

You are a idiot. Fields of Taslamar is not a law area, its a area owned by Exile. Law code shouldn't apply there. What are we to think, that templars are running around the fields of Taslamar ethereal 24/7 looking for people like me? Are you high? There is NO IC logic to a barbarian or a paladin going ethereal. The lawmobs need wimping, my ability to go ethereal and roam where I want is my plus as a sorceror, the ONLY thing I should expect to fight ethereal is a mage or a PC bard/rogue.

P.S. If you can give me a IC reason for this code, I will shut up. But I am seriously baffled about how ethereal is wimped by this. Its not like I have the ability to walk around with seven charms while raiding a city ethereal.

This is what I heard:

Yeah, no thanks. This is not a wimp that needs to happen.

Like I said when I get a IC reason like "well... we fed them "ethereal-o's" for breakfast and they just turn ethereal!" then I will accept this code change. I'm not saying to get it removed altogether, I am saying that the only law NPCs that should be allowed to go ethereal is a mage. It would make OOC and IC sense.
