Ok come on at least have their stat's match for everything and swap the 24/20's around why can't d-elves have 18 con and 23 dex? From what I can tell elves have an applicable 124 stat pts d-elves only have 120 where's the balance in this? If they are supposed to be opposites with just one (d-elves) being a bit more crafty and the other (elves) being a bit more respected. I would appreciate an explanation? |

uh...deep-elves are no more crafty than surface elves. Elves are elves. People just have more of a natural dislike for deep-elves cause most of em are all pale and [REDACTED]. |

Notes that this is not an answer... |

I'd rather this not be touched. If this is really that big of a deal, then go ahead and slightly buff one of the elves weaknesses (or nerf one of the deep-elf's weaknesses.) sleeper |

Eh, my biggest problem with deep-elves is that they have less CON than a sprite, which seems very silly to me. It would be nice to see them more melee oriented in their stats, but I'm sure this fight has been fought many times before. |

The CON really pisses me off. Elves seem to have an advantage on deep-elves. |

Elves seem to have an advantage on deep-elves. The 24 charisma, the lack of negative energy spells (only 2 classes possess them, whereas 4 classes possess spells against deep-elves), higher con, better stat balance, and all that junk. The only time a deep-elf ever beats out an elf is when it comes to being a necromancer. Oh. Wait. |

I'd say it's even. There's a one con point difference but as a whole a 24 int that deep-elves have access to is arguably more useful the then 24 cha elves get. Rember that only humans access to all the classes. A 24 int on a necro is hot stuff, same with any other caster class. Not to mention the fact that Deep-elves get faerie fire innately which wipes out sneak and hide among other things. It looks even to me. |

I tend to agree with Grem. D-elves right now are incredibly hard to play, this coming from a first time player who's first choice was a D elf Hellion. Made it to mentor level and thought I had a pretty good character til I was hit by my first BoG...Protection + shield and it still wiped out a large chunk of my HP. Overall, I think D-elves do need a bit of a boost. Their weaknesses far outweigh their advantages. Colorspray = auto blind. BoG = instant half HP almost unless you're severely MP / MR equipped. Low Con = lower HP which means melee = death. They're alright on Caster classes but even then their HP is so low with their low Con that it's quite pointless. Their dex is alright, but I think their weaknesses are just a bit over the top. That's just my opinion though. Far easier to kill a D-elf than it is an Elf. Purifier for example has holy damage and ROCKS D Elves. |

I've had my share of deep-elves, and it's a pity that nothing except for RP would make anyone choose them. There should be pros and cons for each race, sure - but the cons just outweigh the pros so heavily it's a detriment to the RP emnity can spark. |
