I do feel that lightie areas has improved immensely over the last couple years. Improved to the point where it is now easier to lvl as a lightie vs darkie. I personally would like to see more darkie lvling areas developed. I also agree there needs to be another cabal and/or darkie trib developed. More so cabal than trib.

Deep based Tribunal!

And Assassin-based cabal!!!

edit:

Changed from "chzzrym based to Deep based. Three races under ground = tri = TRIbunal = awesome. Though two of them can be good or evil, and one of them is completely evil the tribunal would definatly lean towards the dark. See what I did there?

Hammer of Light + Fist = lawful good

Druid = lawful neutral

Harlies = chaotic neutral

MC = lawful evil

Adepts = chaotic evil

Assassin cabal to even out the lawful good cabals with another chaotic evil.

MC is lawful neutral, not lawful evil. I'm sure it STARTED OUT as lawful evil...but it's not exactly evil anymore.

You mean unscrupulous.

Darkies don't need some advantage. There's plenty to work with already. Especially when they have two of the best classes in the game PK wise: hellions and necromancers.

Hammer would be Chaotic good. They are crusaders who hunt wickedness and evil no matter where they find it. That means they break laws to stop evil. It's destroying the evil and protecting the good. That's often contrary to many laws.

On another note. As much as I'd enjoy seeing another cabal there's just not enough people for it. It's best left alone. I'd rather see Dulrik work on something people will use.

You also left out an option for people who don't want anything added for darkies on your poll.

The way they are acting, they are lawful neutral. Good would not be something I would attribute to the hammer. Zealotry(obsessive) by nature is never good.

If the Talon and Fist are recombined, then it'd be fine.

They should be anyways.

alignment is the number 1 source of arguments.

Zealotry can be Lawful good or chaotic evil, depending on the source (inspiration) and the character (roleplay).

I could be a fanatical paladin of Truth who raves to the very near edge of being rabid, or an unbending, utterly devoted priest of Dabi who's presence alone demands respect and obedience.

How did this discussion go from needing more dark aura level zones to alignments of factions?


Anyway, it is quite difficult to level up a dark aura because:
- SK is pretty small, there are not that many options
- areas are pretty small, there aren't enough NPCs
- small areas + diminishing returns for XP = GG

Certain zones in SK just aren't desirable, take for example, Cain Techt:
- it takes relatively more effort to get inside
- NPCs inside have supernatural weapons and will break mithril armor
- NPCs wander, group, confuse players
- NPCs do not have much hitpoints which in turn offer minimal experience

Then there is Circle of Holy:
- NPCs group and assist each other, confuse
- players are forced to group but the area is so tiny for more than one
- there are just not enough NPCs and the respawn time is too long


Since the few NPCs spawn slowly at certain places, Circle of Holy, Hero's Inn and so on, the areas end up being heavily patrolled and they become battlegrounds instead. Is this intended?

How will SK grow (in playerbase) when the playerbase already has limited options to level (since there aren't many zones in SK), and further handicapped by the experience cap, forced grouping with what are already small number of NPCs to level on?

Most areas would be much more ideal if:
- respawn times are tweaked to shorter span
- either build a lot more areas, and realizing this is incredibly difficult as it takes time to promote players to angels/imms
- consider duplicating/increasing the number of NPCs at any zone

Basically, think newbie school of Nerina. Hmm, well, maybe not so simple. But the zakami beasts there are in ample supply and they respawn fast.

Most SK veterans don't even go out to level towards the end. They just summon NPCs to kill, wait for respawn, and repeat. This is a sure sign that SK is lacking the end-game zones.

More quests that give experience to certain auras such as bringing back items to the quest NPC would be nice too, such as the zakami tusk quest in Nerina. But this is another discussion for another time.
