Wouldn't it make sense for shopkeepers in an inflated economy to buy goods from players at higher prices? I think it's strange how they still offer constant value when everything else is skyrocketing.

Could be magic. Could be that was just overlooked. But it does make a degree of sense, and could cause further economic development if further thought was given to such.

It would also be good to see shoppers with a larger inventory, or some fun scripting where another merchant/npc could come and 'buy' things & reduce the shopkeepers inventory. Perhaps down the road different shops could be able to have 'specials' at articular dates/times so the same shops aren't consistently the 'hot spots'/nes that are overstocked.

It wasn't overlooked. Sell prices go down from their base during a recession. Buy prices go up from their base during inflation. To allow them to move in the opposite directions would encourage twinking.

You know, it's really annoying that 3 kingdoms are inflated, and the other three don't really have things to make up for what you have to overpay for in other kingdoms.

That's likely why the first three kingdoms are inflated. We are trying to move some resources around so that every kingdom has some things that are worth buying.

I like inflation. NPCs in the borderland keep drop half a plat.

Actually, the inflation has encouraged such behaviors as stunning shopkeepers for their equipment, because no one in their right mind is going to spend that much money on a piece of equipment.

It's pretty insane that a suit of tanso steel from say Zemar in Nerina to cover every slot would run you over three obsidian to purchase. People don't want to pay that much money. So they just stun the shopkeeper. Oh, and this is my favorite, they sell the excess pieces off armor off to the other shopkeepers in Nerina.

I'm not sure I understand how the sell prices of goods in a country that is inflated--if they went up, how they would encourage twinking.

At the moment I believe that all but two countries are inflated (Uxmal and the Empire), I'm sure that once goods get shipped into those countries that it's not even going to help offset inflation. And that's because those two countries are going to end up inflated as well. And inflation in the game is a very, very bad thing because the characters are actually paying with real gold and platinum and such.

I think what I'm trying to get at is that the sources of monetary value aren't even scarce enough to make them valuable. Gold is still growing on trees and there's no relief from the absurd prices that the characters have to pay to get goods.

There is something confusing here. If money is growing on trees, then go harvest and buy stuff. I'd be more concerned if prices were skyrocketted and there was no money available.
