I've just got introduced into using mounts/pets, but I am having an issue with unexpectedly losing my mount-- suddenly I realize I'm traveling alone. Occasionally, I've been able to scroll up and see where I was notified about a dismount, but I missed the brief notice in all the room spam.

This doesn't seem to be just a problem for me, as I notice other 'lost'mounts wandering about regularly.

Could the game be coded so these unexpected dismounts are in red, or even flashing? Thinking in IC terms, my character would notice if all of the sudden she was seperated from her mount.

It does say something like "You are forced to leave your mount behind." But it usually blends with everything else, you're right about that.

Its usually because the mount is too exhausted to go on.

Or if the mount is in combat.

Suggestion:

auto dismount -- Leave mount behind if it cannot go on.

on means you ditch your mount whenever and you get bold yellow "You are forced to leave your mount behind."

off means if your mount won't move, it won't let you go anywhere.

That sounds like a pretty good idea.

Zmud beeps me and sends a pop-up window when I leave my mount behind.

I'm sure its just a trigger...

I'd be up for having that message color encoded. Anything else, is overkill. Plus, I don't want to have to deal with having auto dismount in the wrong setting when I'm running around in PK situation...

Don't you have a super duper immortal horse that doesn't get left behind?

It would make a lot more sense if it said: You try and urge your mount on, but it is too exhausted to move. (and then of course, neither should you.) Makes much more sense. Please fix.
