I would like to know why Chyzzrm is set up like ever other city (newb training area, inn, bank, shops, guards, own language), yet is not considered a city.

Why is the Deep not a kingdom? I'm only asking because I've been asked by a LOT of newbs who start with deep-elves about this.

My idea:
If the reason is because the playerbase is just not large enough to handle another tribunal, then do not place a tribunal in the Deep. Make Chyzzrm the main city, and places such as Vaerlin a town like Everclear is to Exile. As for a law system, place a law system -- however instead of a tribunal operating, make it so that you are unable to be banished (or pardoned) but merely placed in jail. The money that gets taken from you would just be fed back into the economy. If that is too harsh, then make punishments and jail time less harsh. Instead of getting all of your things taken from you for battery and assault, just take all your money. The law system I will leave up to everyone's imaginations. Its almost 3am here and I'm just not willing to think that much >.<.

Elves would still be attacked on sight (as I think delves are in sith?). Female deep-elves I would assume have law immunity (IE: the priestesses in the spider temple attack everyone but female delfs now).

It would just be nice to have a place deep-elves can go and call home. A place they are able to recall to just as elves are able to recall to Ayamao.

The city is already set up like its ready to be made into a kingdom --why actually make it? I know I'd be one of the first to become a citizen.

Anyway. Thats my idea. Its rough, I am well aware. I just want to know why the deep isn't a kingdom. Especially if your outlaw memory will say crimes from the deep.

The currect playerbase cannot support another kingdom, and the deep is a very hostile place - while being very alluring to true newbies.

And it's Ch'zzrym.

There is a Deep kingdom with its own economy and laws. There is no Deep starting point. Deep language is used not only by deep-elves, but by gnomes and dwarves too. There's no way the gnomes/dwarves and deep-elves would co-exist peacefully in any government. Since we can't make 3 new starting points, I don't think its fair to solely cater to the deep-elf and leave the gnomes and dwarves out in the cold. All six starting cities have a mix of races, thus they're appropriate as starting cities.

That's an acceptable reason. So many people forget about the other races . . .

Aelraen tells you 'Is it a boy or a girl?'

You tell Aelraen 'Unlike tree-folks, in the deep tongue the "ae" sound is feminine.'

SK is a disgusting place, most births take place in various inns.

Aerlyn's kid was born in an inn. . . . not Ayamao's though.

At least they're out of sight, hmm?

I'm so glad the old "Hey I'm bored let's play mommy" game hasn't faded out from SKs.

Seriously though, Ch'zzrym is a rubbish city that portrays deep-elves as drow in every sense of the word, when allegedly SKs is trying to move away from that image. I have nothing against Ch'zzrym being made a newbie area (if the mercs up the top were removed for the sake of the newbies), as long as a significant revamp were to take place.

Ha. Being pregnant didn't stop Aerlyn from marching on the Monastery. Having a child isn't a part of her roleplay right now in any large portion. The child's tucked away in Craeftilin.

So very quick to jump to conclusions.

Yeah, cause there's nothing better than mud-teats to suck on.
