The poll options seem slightly biased. |

I dunno, Krychire seems kinda resource-poor for anything valuable people leave sitting around not to be stolen and sold for a nice warm coat. Now, before you start accusing me of being a... oh I don't know, let's say 'newb-hating NAZI,' I'll have you know my very first character was from the Northern Wastes. And back then we had to walk to the portal stones in the snow uphill BOTH ways! <---har har. In all seriousness, though. I always felt it was appropriate that it was a minor pain in the [REDACTED] to acquire things at first. The NW should be bleaker than anyplace else in the game world. You can sell your soul to the evil rulers for crumbs of the meager resources they hoard, or you can tough it out like the barbarians of old! |

Krychire newbie area DOES need to be tweaked imo. If not for more coin, for better exp for sure. *nods sagely* |

"It's a bleak place" seems like a pretty lame reason to avoid giving people a place to help newbies out. Oh, but you want to be careful with what you take out of a newbie bin. If you happen to take anything good and you're low level, Alshain will steal it from you and give it to his HF. Again. |

Agreed, though, The North seems to be the most 'filthy rich' Kingdom in the realms. Adding a bin sounds like a job that would take... 15 seconds. Revamping the Newbie grounds sounds good to me Maybe now with Neo Krychire one could add a dungeon of sorts. PS: The part about Alshain stealing items and giving it to his HF: I don't know and I don't want to know. |

Fairly on board with Thuban on this. On the other hand, we get some pretty whacked out northerners visiting Zhenshi to play with who are without resources. .. I'm not sure how welcome a donation basket would be at an inn, etc. Does seem counter to the area. Mayhaps a more appropriate place to leave such 'garbage' is at a place in the newbie area all have access to (like Nerina's pathway by the newb trainers). Could have even be named 'an abandoned pile of rubbish' This way, the kingdom retains it's newbie friendliness (OOC) while continuing to make the place as drab and miserable as possible looking (IC). Could even flavor it up if there was a guard or trainer there to make some negative comment about the quality of one's armor and leave the garbage behind (cos it won't do you any good anyway), and some other interesting ones when someone does grab at the rubbish. And I'd not have them fire all the time, that'd be spammy. "That garb looks like it couldn't protect you from the weather. Why don't you leave it here and go back home and hide under the covers?" or "When you are done playing soldier, do leave your things here. It's not like you really need them anyway." and "Ah look what the cat dragged in. That did not help the last person using it. Can't see how it will aid you any better." "And I suppose if you wear that you feel like you are going to amount to something?" "Careful there. People might actually think you are up to something. Don't think though that rubbish is going to actually protect you. Or maybe I should just keep my roses and keep my nose out of the north.. |

Just an aside . . . there weren't portal stones "back in my day." |
