Why is it that when an animate dies everything in his inventory and all his gear is autojunked? Seems kinda unfair to me...

Are you sure?

This certainly wasn't the case a couple of months or so ago, which was the last time I played a character that had any sort of animates available. Equipping an undead from the kit that it just dropped after he last animated it again was somewhat standard proceedure for my old necromancer.

It just friggin happened, I went to Nerina and Zemar "donated" all his tanso gear to my zombies, I had em put it on. Later, we're collecting donations from the people of a small village and BOOM one of my zombies goes down, no big deal, I have more than one, but after I reanimate the corpse, all the tanso gear is gone.

I agree that this semi-new thing sucks.

I think what happened is this: stolen tanso from zemar (and possibly all shops) deathrots (ie junks on the wearer's death). It is dumb, but I guess it is the price darkies have to pay for stealing.

That tanso from Zemar has long been renowned for death rotting.
