I dont know how the rest of the player base feels but I feel that it would be nice if something was done about the way items respawn. At the moment as I understand it an item will be loaded onto a NPC when they are created with a repop, if there is a spare item of that type to be loaded.

There are a few small problems with this;
Firstly people junking items when a NPC as already been reloaded with out the item. Shouldnt after a time this item find its way back into circulation with out someone randomly killing a NPC.
Secondly request. It removes the item but doesnt cause the NPC to die and repop so the NPC needs to be killed before a new item is created, given that request is there so light auras dont need to kill other light auras doesnt this seem as if the handicap has hardy been removed at all.
Third mode stun get item. Also a shop keeper will not repop a item taken like this.

Solution 1 make request reload items when it is done, on all NPCs (even dark auras). Problems mass requesting.

Solution 2 make a repop check for extra unloaded eq in the area and repop as possible.

Solution 3 Add lag to the junk command and in that lag make it work out where the item was from and reload it.

Solution 4 A combination of 2 and 3.

The biggest problem with better re-pop algorithms is that they would cause increased lag at super-ticks.

You will notice that two of my solutions (1 and 3) do not have anything to do with a repop tick. Those are the least favored of mine because they are the easiest to twink with.

A little extra lag wouldnt be much more than there is now because it still checks for items on a repop of dead things. If there was a extra true/false (boolian sp) variable set off to the side to be put true when there was an item to be reloaded the lag would be minimal.
