No one is disputing that there is more than just PK ability that goes into imming. However, the people that do excel at that sort of thing are under represented on the immstaff.

And this is what I mean, since people who have no idea what they are talking about are the ones that are deciding the path that the game should take.

Actually, Dulrik decides what path the game will take, and I'm pretty sure he knows what's going on.

Dalmar, you are my least favorite imm. The single negative experience I have had in this game, was largely due to you. You are the reason I stopped playing SK.

Having said that, I still believe you have been good for the game. Even if I had the ability I wouldn't want you removed from the staff. I have had great interactions with the staff (yourself included). I don't know how Dulrik picks his staff but he is great at it. Point is that you're a great imm, a great staff member. The worst one in an all star team but still great.

Sure SK has problems, but the staff is not one of them. The staff is possibly the greatest asset to the game (Other than having me as a player). SK will always have problems because SK is always changing and Dulrik maybe great, but he is not infallible. Since blaming the staff is easy, it will always happen. No matter how great you guys are, you guys will mess up and some players will get the short end of it. Those players will get upset but your not perfect and it would be unfair to hold you to such a standard.

Point is some players need to stop being Dbags and stop blaming the staff

Don't pretend like the immstaff doesn't discuss changes, new ideas.

Sure, we discuss. Hell, you guys discuss, as well. But we don't decide the outcome any more than you do. I'd say, with certainty, that many MORE ideas are straight up plucked from player forum discussions and emails than are influenced in immortal discussions.

Don't also pretend that Dulrik has a real-time image of what his changes create as far as balance and imbalance in the game. He doesn't play his game, and though he may have a glimpse at the code that none of the rest of us have, we have the experience of actually applying that code that he doesn't choose to exercise.

I promise you, from experience, that a coder that doesn't actually test his code personally doesn't understand all the ways it does or does not function as intended.

Meztiso, I've imm'ed on the game a good deal longer than I've played, and I've certainly made my share of mistakes over those years. I'm open to your honest feedback and/or criticism in a private forum if desired. If you just dislike me, that's okay too.

Per the naysayers, and any power players who would hope to be on the immstaff sometime, all I can recommend is that you learn the grown-up lesson that you'll never land a job interview by constantly spouting hateful trash about your greatness and how much the stupid boss sucks. The immstaff is NOT a democracy, though Dulrik seeks feedback from the game administrators just like he seeks feedback from these forums and the playerbase.

Now then... this thread is veering far off-topic. Bring your flaming to GD and get back on topic or this thread will be locked.

Spoken like a guy that never studied American History especially circa 1920-40, especially the parts about labor unions, and the shanking of pinkerton detectives, dalamar.

Obviously there's no bug here, and this thread is pointless, so it should probably be locked anyway.

I test all my changes. I've also said many times that I play the game, although not as much as I would like. I'm sure you'd love to know who I played so you could brag about PKing me, but you won't be getting that info.
