Since this is about Nashira, I'll put my word in as well.

First, I think the old Nashira was misunderstood way back. As far as I know it was a *NPC* that suggested the possible acceptance of griffons, not the god herself, most likely in an attempt to spark some conflict and differing opinions/interpretations of Nashira's philosophy. There is a *huge* difference between the goddess herself coming down and dictating matters, and some random NPC offering an opinion.

Personally, I prefer the hate-griffon kill-on-sight-by-radical-members approach (provided the kill is well RP-ed out of course), mainly because it's good to have various groups at odds. But more than anything I prefer those interpretations to be player-based. I could easily see a nashrite attempt to make the claim that griffons are natural. I could also see said nashrite be burned at the stake by his/her brothers and sisters for being a heretic. In fact, I would hope that happened  .

It's all good, as long as the RP behind it makes sense.

Well, regardless, the FIST are redundant. Their virtues should be peace and enlightenment, not another hammer.

I really feel morphing them into a light-gray cabal would facilitate this mud both for CRS -and- for general RP. Believe me, I have nothing against this cabal, but so long as Adepts (and to a lesser extent MC and harlies) can be shafted of their powers all the time -- well, it just makes the mud suck.

And no, currently, if FIST was morphed, it would harm me with my current main character. So this is out of genuine wish to see more conflict between the 'light' and gray and more balance to the mud.

Druids are not supposed to be political either, and should, like the Harlequins, shift around in their alliances. The MC, however, is a gray-dark cabal, so it only makes sense the counter would be the light-gray fists.

I like that much better than what it is now, I think it could be so much more.

Okay, I will say it plainly and in English so that you might understand Grakus:

Fist: Seeking enlightenment through spreading all of the goals of the light.

Hammers: Destroy evil at all cost (That in itself should make it a selfish cabal but . . .that isn't the discussion here).

Mind you, I still feel the Fist are fine as they are. But if anything, I think I'd rather see the Fist replaced than altered. Too much history would just make such a transition an unhealthy one, if successful at all.

Fist Goals?

I will speak only for the Fist goals when Elriorith was Leader.

1) Seek to maintain unity of Lighty nations, Tribunals and Cabals.
2) Made Druids ignore Griffons instead of killing them on sight.
3) Defended where there was abuse, be it Ayamao, Taslamar Uxmaln, or even Empire.
4) Tried to aid in GRP conflicts and events, by offering aid and solutions.
5) Tried to educate others in the Fist tenets, tried to enlighten and pass on fragments of history that were widely unknown.
6) Tried to stop the end of the world and the prophecy (see adept relic hostage situation)
7) Try to stabilize the situation in Zhenshi, where Talons were fighting Talons.

There were much more than these, but some of them escape me.

PS> I said Fist Goals, not Fist accomplishments of my time. I cannot claim all of the above were met with 100% success. We and I had our crappy times as well.

So, see above, Fists = Mediators - councilors - aid - historians - enlightened.

I think the FIST are fine the way they are, i would not change them over some light-gray Cabal or Cabunal. The FIST need the distance from politics when they choose to have it. Being a Cabunal would negate this.

Clearly, Hammer Light. Doesn't fill you up, and surely lets you down.

Correct, it was a NPC. Correct again in assuming it was a mere suggestion made in an attempt to start problems in the church. It never took, however.

All hammer of light's goals too. You guys act like the Hammer doesn't do this. They're just the scrupulous faction, FISt are the principled, but they DO THE SAME thing.

Where's the darkie group seeking to do the opposite of hammer and fist?

See: adepts.

One evil cabal, two good cabals.

face it folks, no matter how much YOU may dislike it, it is the best interests of the mud to change/convert the FIST cabal or add a new dark aura martial arts faction.

Grakus you seem to have forgotten one key thing. When good is winning the mud grows and nurtures its newbies. When Evil is winning I know a lot of newbies who quickly give up. SK is a better more enjoyable mud for newbies when lighties have the upper hand 75% of the time.

When the adepts return they should be pulled away from dark god worship and moved into the deep elf city. Using dark secrets to create troublesome events (much like the current demon RP) making them not instant foes of all the light factions as the trouble they cause is the instant problem. This would also give them a fraction extra protection against elves and griffons the light races.
