Should Priests Loose Shield Block and gain Enhanced Damage
Yes, I never see priests in front row and I never see them use shields 10%  10%  [ 3 ]
No, just because you are in second or third rank doesn't mean you don't need a shield if priests choose not to use on that's their fault 77%  77%  [ 23 ]

Before the big shield nerf (years ago), shields were by far the right decision for a priest's off-hand. In the last few years I played, they were marginally helpful when tanking but not worth fussing over. Even so, Frollith almost always wore a shield and cloth armor.

I guarantee you he's not wearing the psi rod to beat people over the head with. More likely for the great magical resistance and mana regen on it.

If anything that just reinforces the point that shield block should stay with priests, since the only reason he's wearing that staff is for it's passive effects, much like one would use a shield. Had he found a shield with mana regen on it, I guarantee you he'd be wearing that instead.

That's exactly my point. Priests don't usually hold shields. They grab items and hold those. They hold staves, regen items, mana mods, scrolls, that sort of thing. Why's a priest of mira need a mana regen item anyway?

Right, but the point being, if you can get a shield with those qualities, it's better to hold the shield than the stave/weapon/scroll/wand/whatever.

And I don't even know about the Mira comment. Remember I've just come back and started to snoop around after a few years off, do priests of Mira have some sort of mana regen ability?

Priests now get a religion spell at Jman. Mira's is exceptionally elite.

Thats all I'm going to say, that way I don't disclose any IC info. :D

Luckily I, among very few others, was gifted with deductive reasoning, and I can infer from your very subtle and crafty hints in conjuncture with the previous post that priests of Mira recieve some sort of mana regeneration ability at journeyman.

Yes I'm amazing to have figured that out so quickly I know. You can stop sending me PM's about my super sluething abilities, I appreciate the compliments, but am already aware of the awe inspiring...

*cough*

I mean, really? That's pretty neat.

Thanks Frolly. Glad to know you're still alive. Come back and play, if you aren't already :P

edit: WE'RE GETTING THE LEAG-- I MEAN, THE HAMMER BACK TOGETHER!

:D

Summ's already in. Gallus is STILL in, amazingly enough (he is older than sin now, I think). All we need is to convert tragonis!

2nd edit: just kidding :p

That is such a lie, Quackers. If I recall, this is the only time I ever said "I am back to play seriously". I might of dropped in to say hi, or "I'll try to start", but I don't recall an actual coming back like this is. Unfortunately, none of you losers apparently use YIM anymore, so I'm stuck using forums to talk to you.

[/edit] I could of just made a post like some saying I'm back. Would that work for you? :P
