Aside from the plane of air how does this really hurt sorcs? I'm trying to think of these "air" areas and other than plane of air, outskirts of pyrathia, and above cities I'm having a hard time thinking of many more.

Not sure if oceans qualify.

It depends on what exactly counts as an air zone. Elisair could certainly count. There's plenty of places in various cities that you have to fly to get to, but being "indoors" I don't know if they'd count.

Also, I feel like there are more definitive ones, but I can't name any either.

If being underwater but not drowning doesn't break the spell. Why would flying in air break it?

Anyways. I can now charm some PC, go next to any city, and stack c fly PC;move over city;rele 1. And the charm would break, and they'd plummet to their death? And I wouldn't have broken any rules.

If they were paying attention, they could actually move before you released the fly.

But yes, this is a very valid point.

You can try to do that, but it won't work. That's exactly the reason for this code change. The charm will end and they will exit your group BEFORE they enter the air room.

I wouldn't mind the new charm spell so much if NPC charmies didn't attack you when the spell released.

Here's me while doing SK and homework at the same time:

*doo, doo, doo, flyin' over a city, got my friend Derk so the Crucible won't get me.... DERK SENDS AN AXE FLYING INTO YOUR CHEST! YOU LOSE YOUR CONCENTRATION ON FLY! YOU FALL TO YOUR DEATH! ALL YOUR BELONGINGS ARE SCATTERED AND LOST... oh hey there's ilyash lol*

-edit-

Lies. Distant charisma does indeed suck hard.

Yeah, it sucks hard. But it's definitely worth it for some.

I'm not sure the spell allows the charmee to attack the charmer when wearing off in this way. It doesn't seem to cause a NPC to attack me when I do this. It only caused the spell to wear off when I went over the city. The answer is don't fly so much.
