Treefinger, just want to clear up some facts. Not participating otherwise.

Resist Elements: Not brewable

Spirit Aura: Can only be used by pantheists, which means that they can't be affected by religious spells and protection.

Argue on!

I personally enjoy the gameplay aspect of looking forward to things like IC trips which take 6+ pcs to get scripted eq.

Why the [REDACTED] would you ever go to the IC, if scripted eq gets removed?

I die, sure. But spam die? Not exactly. I also use scripted eq daily.

Doosn't change the fact as it stands. Put it back in your pants.

PS: sometimes being interested in outcomes and determining affects of buffs, ie empirical knowledge to base opinions on, is better than stroking myself with a more sure victory.

a shield that casts shield
a marble that casts di/dh/fly/bless/protection/db

10 steps from Exile and requestable?

No.

Do I think scripted eq needs to be removed completely?

No.

Class balance is upset when every class has access to every other classes skillset. The things granted to one class to make up for say their lack in melee can be aquired by a melee class and now the melee class has their advantages + the advantages of the class that has the offset making the melee class THAT much better.

Also, the game knowledge of people in this thread is severely lacking.

There is no way for a PC to get GM haste from anyone except a PC, except centaurs.

There are 3 items THREE UNIQUE items in the game that cast SA. One is race restrict, one drains 30%+ PE every tick, and one crumbles after a few uses iirc.

There are 2 scripted items in the game that give shield, I believe. One has 2 copies.

There are 4 scripted items that give RE, I think. One is severely broken and needs wimped.

QQ EVERYONE IS RUNNING AROUND WITH GM HASTE STRENGTH PROTECTION SA RE IG SS SANC

I've played chars that prepped and never walked into Pk without a list 10 items long, before. That doesn't hold attraction to me anymore. I thought then as I do now that it's unbalancing.

I think buffing scripts should be removed entirely. There is a lot you can do to make IC worth it that doesn't include buff scripts (like regen scripts and abnormally good enchants).

Also: your knowledge is lacking if you think your assertion about haste is true, unfortunately.

Also. With the pbase as it is, 4-5 items is enough for everyone prevalent in the skill position to have it.

Wrong and I'm pretty sure wrong.

The IC items used to have great enchants. And then Dulrik made it so that things can codedly not start with more than 5 enchants, iirc.

Also, if you are going to the [REDACTED] IC, your eq is already enchanted.

Im thinking more along the lines of, If you use something outside of your skillset, no matter what it is, it causes a penalty. Not FATIGUE. FATIGUE is a joke which is why people rack up like 10+ fatigues and still win in PK at times. I mean REAL penalties. Ok you want to spirit aura and you arent a shaman, maybe you should get a strong form of spirit disorientation while you use it! You want to resist elements when you are not a warlock, maybe you also resist enchantments your armor has been given at the same time! I mean REAL penalties for stepping outside your skillset. Im in favor of haste costing you a year of life again! I think if you want giant strength you should get centaur DEX along with it! And please let rogues backstab people with a pet behind them. All I have to do is keep my things in a container and use a pet behind me and I NEVER worry about rogues again, its awful.

EDIT: WW again, this thread is not for flames and each post of yours has insults. Ive played this game for over a decade and you think Im a newb? You think Jerin is a newb? Come on. Im not going to insult you, respect my post enough to leave your flames out of it please.
