Yes, as a player of a HF paladin, with few to no active priests, I have to keep several symbols on me. I hate not having a symbol to get a newly invested person. And I never understood why paladins and hellions didn't get the spell as they like priests have to have religion to get most of their spells.

This keeps coming up, and still Paladins/Hellions do not get holy symbol. It baffles me. It is a matter of convenience and roleplay that is logical. I strongly doubt that spell is going to make those classes overpowered.

Tell XXX to tell your HF that you request a symbol if your time zones are different. Then he can drop it in a place of convenience for both of you, so you can retrieve it when you come back online.

Symbols are meant to be important. Religions are meant to have priests in them, not just mercs/rogues/sorcs for example.

If no active priest is in the religion, try to convert some newbie priests to join your religion. It works wonders you know if you do it right.

sorry, but if you have no priests worthy of F2, your religion is SOL. Keep it as-is. Recruit and develop priests.

You're telling me I have to roll out of character and recruit someone to make a priest for my faith just so I can have a religious symbol? Hunting for priests IC is just kind of worthless. People come into the game with concepts in mind. Let them make their minds up. I shouldn't have to be a beggar for a certain class in order to have a symbol.

There have been numerous times a religion has been led by laity and symbols have been an issue. There have been a lot of religions who thrived without active priests. They're an RP item now (though I still hate the fact there's no symbol scripts anymore) and there's absolutely NO reason that a high follower should not be able to make one.

I've been in my religion for nearly three weeks, and I still don't have a symbol because of things like this.

This has been beaten to death so many times its not even funny. Dulrik has said on every single occasion "If you want symbols, recruit priests" I doubt he's going to change his mind now.

I disagree. I feel holy symbol always should be a priest-only spell, which is why religions should always have at least one priest as a high follower.

The reason for this is the RP behind the concept of priests.
