Horseshoes work as TREASURES. That is why you can wear whatever material you like, nomatter your class. They don't offer any protection other than their enchants.

Exactly, and the luck of leg/foot armor makes it even worse. You aim low, he can't avoid, he get's full damage, he is dead, period.

What I would like most to see is a solution about the centaurs' leg vulnerabilities.

I wonder if this might be a solution while still keeping with the theme. Let them wear armor (as per class), but hits on the legs are like iron to elves?

You can also wear a belt made out of any material regardless of class and they protect you. Horseshoes can be compared to each other and when you identify them they have protection vs whatever just like any other piece of armor. If that is actually meaningless it should be removed to stop confusion.

So, just curious. How about that idea for centuars? They can wear leg armor but take extra damage, in the legs only, just like iron for an elf?

I'll just point out, I've NEVER seen leg armor on a horse. Ever. Also, the idea of a tumbling centaur makes me lol.

Tumble was for rogues not centaurs.

Perhaps Centaurs should get a extra leg bonus to make them hard to trip and bash. Would make up for their low dex.

Well, it would make sense for centaurs to be more difficult to bash and trip with 4 legs.

But, screw it. I'd still not play the race as anything even remotely warrior related.

Improved stability bonus against bash. With an extra chance at parrying low aimed attacks with some centaur weapons (a selection of weapons which centaurs like to use for example spears) would make the centaur warrior half decent.

Rogues are dangerous. I was always glad as Tshotha that most of the rogues out there wanted to be harlequins so they didn't try to kill me. Of all the classes, besides lame [REDACTED] voodooing, it was rogues I feared the most, I felt I could effectively deal with all the other classes.

I even figured a couple ways to deal with taunt thanks to garrett and some other old harlies.

As for centaurs. They are crap. After playing Calfalos I will never touch one again. The only quality kill I ever got, by that I mean scoring on a good player, was against Ruud. And guess what....he was playing a centaur.

I killed everyone I wanted but I generally had to resort to group pk, which inspite of how people brag about leaders and tictacs, I don't think much of it.

Calfalos only realy got owned 1 vs 1 bad one time but there were several battled in his short life that I only scraped by on because of my own personal experience and won, when I had fully expected a tremendous victory due to weapon enchants/ A hammer cabal skill that is innate to centaurs/bersek & fury/ Size large/ Well selected weapons and or hol on darkies.

I was operating under the assumption that most times I was dealing almost as much damage to someone as could be dealt and still if they went for my legs I was hard put to win at times.

This isn't about Calfalos though. I still think centuars are really lame. I'm even hearing they are weak vs negative energy now too. Centuars just aren't a good selection. Any human any day of the week if used right is better then a centaur for anything. I'm not seeing any real plus to centaurs over humans when humans have nothing going for or against them and centaurs have all kinds of strengths and weaknesses. The aim lower on centuars rapes them.
