I repeat, lore, or seeing the lore on an item (any item), has nothing to do with character level and has not for longer than a year.

You're free to think what you want, but if you think lore has anything at all to do with character level or stats, you're wrong.

What is it based on, then, if not stats or level?

The only extensive experience that I had with a GM bard was over two years ago now, and I did notice a big difference in my ability to lore high-level things once I reached GM over what it had been before. It was mastered well before I was GM, too.

It's purely anecdotal, so I'm not going to argue the point (I have no OOC info on the skill) but that's certainly how it looked to me then.

Lore is based on how well yoiu know the skill, I suggest spam mastering lore while resting and RPing talking to pplz, it takes a while, but is well worth it.

Damnit, that was much less fun than being as mysterious as OA...

Thread: Shaving off 5 levels off everything level-dependant would be fine. It seems locate object isn't the only case.
