Necromancers are the most powerful PK and exploration class in the game. It's the only class that has the power to kill things AND heal its pets with its own spellset.
If you suck, and think necros need a buff...it's not the game's fault, learn how to play.
Necromancers are in the top five in PK but they are by far the best (in all circumstances).
I am not saying necromancers need a boost, but I always wondered why they simply did not get all the cause damage spells. Does it make sense to any of you why priest can heal the undead better then anyone else?
Priests and shamans get all the healing and priests also get harm. Any class that can cast any healing spell, find healing herbs and sing healing songs can also kill things with their own spells, skills or songs. So the ability of a necromancer healing its undead animates or controls is not unique.
I also do not see the big deal; harm is one of the more heavy concentration spells, so a necromancer could only have a few animates or one control if they want to cast it, and they usually prefer to have their couple of controls or a group of undead.
Four years ago I would agree that this would make necromancers unbalanced. However since necromancers now have to concentrate on their animates, Bolt of Glory (their “greatest weapon”) is now a quick cast spell and the call armor spell(which is ridiculously over powered thanks to the “Taking items from unconscious or dead PCs counts as theft” so no looting). I think they need some sort of balancing. They are the ONLY class that needs to be a GM to use their skills and spells to the best the class has to offer. All the other ones are at 100% at master (Well maybe warlocks but I am fairly positive they can get their best elemental at master).
