I could see increasing the failure rate while increasing the damage on the skill. I'd like to see dex make more difference in the success/failure rate. I could also go for something that removes the affect at a cost of move and mana only when outside of combat.

I like that "eye wash out of combat" idea. I don't think that the skill at its core really needs to be tweaked, just the NPC rate of use/success. PvP use of dirt is pretty fair and the rate of success is good, it's just the NPC use of dirt that is insane.

Increasing the length of a road does not make it more of a challenge to walk down.

How about noobie goggles for the noobie zone which, while worn, make dirt kick fail on the noobie 50% of the time.

As you go up in level it becomes less effective. 50% through novice.
40% through initiate
25% through apprentice.

Then it stops working.

I do like the helmet idea too with the face plates.

Just remove dirt kick from low level NPCs, problem solved.

Or start all chars from level 20 with all spells/skill mastered! :o

Do I need sarcasm tags or make this text pink(konge©)?

I support greatly lowering the chance that NPCs succeed on dirt kicks. Good post, Lolth.

Not all of us have your greek "OMGEYEKNOWALL" tactics of being able to level to GM in a few days, DA. The point isn't to make it more challenging, but to ease for the newbies. There's no reason that NPCs should be dirt kicking that much at such low levels.

DA, you sure can be condescending sometimes.

This isn't about leveling. This is about how much it sucks to be blinded every single time you kill a NPC no matter what your dex is

I think the vote results speak for themselves.
