This is a long going thing, when I go inactive, I normally leave leadership behind.

But even then, I normally delete the char when I go inactive:P

Wow. Some people are bitter about leadership. Really. We can have more leader flags. I am a rebel that way.

More leader flags don't work as a fix. ICly, most of these organization have one top leader, regardless of the mechanics. And if the leader isn't leading, often no one else is. The possible appearance of mutiny is unwise....

Not that I'm complaining about extra flags. For one thing, it makes recruiting a heck of a lot easier. It's just not a cure-all.

No, I myself don't have time for a leader flag. It just pisses me off when other people who log on less than myself are leader.

It seems to me that this situation often happens in a group (particularly one with low member count):

Everyone is pissed at Leader for having low hours, but no one feels they have the time to have a leadership flag themselves. If that's the case, nothing can really be done. Although more leader flags being given to people, even if they don't have a lot of time, allows for more to be done collectively. But, as Forsooth mentioned, it doesn't work as well in certain groups as it has in others.

We have 5 flagged leaders, one is the big leader, then he has a second, whom in the absense of the leader, he has complete and utter control, we have an advisory elder, a war leader, and a mage leader, all have very explicit and detailed jobs. So our leaders are actually able to take breaks without hurting our tribunal(like me recently)

As the player of a fairly inactive character I disagree with everyone who has said timers need to be increased.

If I become more active I reserve the right to completely change my mind.

Then don't become a leader or a hoarder and then no one will care

they always care, like you now, your being a little noob, it always happens, fix it icly.
