Well, I am currently playing a mino, so it would hurt me also. I don't necessarily mind the occasional giant/merc or giant/barb doing insane dmg. I just don't like it when a group is formed that all of the fighters are enlarged to give them a bonus on dmg. Sprites were wimped so that they couldn't get the extra attack if they were enlarged. I am not talking about a huge change in dmg, just a small tweak, or make the extra damage a racial feature and not a size feature.

I personally think enlarge already got ninja-tweaked, since from my tests with Sorc/Fivel, size didn't seem to affect backstab damage anymore.

But, if enlarge does still affect melee damage, it does need to be changed to be based on race. OR, rofl! Best idea ever, leave enlarge as a held spell, but add fatigue to it, that is far more severe than normal fatigue and is activated when the spell is released and lasts for twice as long as you were enlarged.

BTW, how does this change do anything to enlarge, Muktar? People enlarge themselves to giant, not to medium or large, lol. Simply wimping damage from large and under, wouldn't do anything but be an even bigger buff to the people who enlarge themselves.

Make the damage modifier from size be based on your race. Or add serious penalties(penalty to hit/dodge and fatigue?) to enlarge/shrink since the person wouldn't be used to being a different size.

This wimp only seems necessary because there is a massive army of newbs who refuse to exploit giant's racial weaknesses because they think doing so is 'lame'.

Making the size bonuses be racial bonuses might solve the problem but makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm not going to make a change that I have no way of rationalizing, especially when there are other possibilities.

So, we're alright with human mercs running around size giant with lighten load(eliminating the problem of heavy EQ) and basically getting all the benefits of being a giant, without the penalties? I think we've already established that changes for balance don't really have to make sense.

What are these "other possibilities"? Adding penalties to enlarge hopefully?

Enlarge becoming a fatigue spell COULD be a possibility. I wouldn't mind hearing other ideas. I haven't made any decisions.

The spell would be abused to much. Shrink/enlarge would happen a lot by a sorc just casting because they think its funny. Unless you can code so shrink and enlarge to be agressive spells when the spell is cast on a npc/pc.

Or...Just make it so that casting them without permission is against the rules like haste and gs?

Wait there's rules now?
Oh like principled characters not going on mass slaughterings?

Rules were made to be broken, beaten, abused, made fun of and given eating disorters.
