No. NO. Don't water that poo down. There should NEVER be a "hellion council". A "Council" implies equality of all it's members. In an "equality", no one is stronger, or has any more pull than the rest. Therefore a Hellion should never accept dropping himself to the level of weakness that some of his peers would exude.

SK Character: Elriorith/Enfaustina/Nimolthar
I will forward here, my last interaction concerning the Paladin Council, since it is not available to everyone to read. It is located on the Astral Boards, note number 3. This was the last effort/interaction I had with the Paladin or for the Paladin Council.

[ 3 ] Elriorith: The Paladin Council - The Awakening
To: Jandora Yaubl Velensar Altaven Niliviel Frederic Aerea Sakarie Arron Alynwen
On: Sun 16, 883
In: zhensh writing

Brothers and sisters of Light, Knights, Squires and pages.
I believe i have everyone on my list so far. To my understanding Veleshar may not be a Knight,
but he is the sole representative of the Ain Church and thus invited. If there is a Knight of
the Scale that escapes me, Veleshar, please direct him instead to this post relaying the information.

Counting the names, with sorrow i see that our ranks are thin. We are frail in numbers yet strong
in will and determination. The Holy Warriors of our Lords of Light, the beacons of Light that set
an example to all, be they evil or pure.

With heavy heart have i monitored the last four decades the chambers of the Council of Paladins
remain empty, gathering nothing but dust and decay. Yet there were not enough good men to mount
the chairs, since the Former commanders perished. Lord Kalaron's will was that Sir Hael and Sir
Illirian would continue the tradition and strengthen the Council anew. Yet both Knights have
been missing as of the past decades and the council was disbanded.

When the Council was active, i was the only Clergy, due to my title of Chaplain that was asked
to join, and offered the possition of the Counselor. At the time i agreed, and this brings me now
with a holy task.

The Paladin Council must be reinstated, Rebirth coming to it through us. This is a Call to Arms.
The council shall host all Knights Squires and Pages of the Lords of Light, and none else, with
exception to Veleshar should there continue to be no Knights of the Scale.

Information and details about the structure, leadership and composition shall follow with a new note
in due time, along with instructions of the first meeting.

Walk with courage brothers and sisters, remain Vigilant and may Courage guide you until we meet.

Signed in flawless hand.
Chaplain Elriorith Il'hmarien.
Voice of Dawn & Counselor of the Paladin Council.

* The note is stamped with the seal of the Paladin Council.
* The note is stamped with the seal of the Flaming Phoenix being Reborn from his own ashes. *

Elriorith was/is member of that council. For IC details which I will not spoil here, seek me IC. I hope this helps a bit, history wise.

what was/is a priest doing in the -paladin- council really?

I realize that you do not actually have to be a paladin to be in an organization, but I thought paladin council was pretty strict to paladin only.

I thought you had to be principled to be in FIST too, but looks like you enjoy bending those rules as well.

So, don't toss stones mr.

Is the Midnight Council the only one that is exempt from your so-called rule?

There is no basis for that claim.

The midnight council isn't exactly exempt. Sometimes it is because people like to give themselves ranks, but they all generally call themselves "The Elite". Not the "More eliter than xxx". There's one standard of eliteness, not multiple.

How on earth does the term council imply necessarily equality? It is just a place where decisions are being made, be it by equal voices and vote or by oppressing others and passing your opinion through force and power. I don't see why a hellion council can't stand in the world of SKs. It could be a place where great conflicts between hellions could stir.

Let's break it down. Those who serve on a council, are called Councilors.
One title for all assembled. Hrm. This sounds like a standard of equality. If there's oppressing going on, and opinions being passed through force of power, it's not exactly a council anymore.

juggs is right. I council simple is a meeting of a group of people.

dictionary.reference.com wrote:
1. an assembly of persons summoned or convened for consultation, deliberation, or advice.
2. a body of persons specially designated or selected to act in an advisory, administrative, or legislative capacity: the governor's council on housing.
3. (in certain British colonies or dependencies) an executive or legislative body assisting the governor.
4. an ecclesiastical assembly for deciding matters of doctrine or discipline.

Nothing in any of those definitions imply equality. Just that they are a gathering of people to discuss something (using something very liberally).
