Shaman humans and centaur have the same INT, and humans are 'the' tank of choice...despite having less con and str.

It's the dex that kills centaur so hard.

Rogues are fine. Scroll is arguable one of the most powerful skills in the game. Hide > invis which you even have access to via scrolls. Duel backstab > cleave (accept for crit cleave). Hamstring and skirmish is a very deadly combination. The main reason I see people dont play them is similar to bards they work best in groups and are harder to work alone . However I would still say they are better off than bards working alone shield block for one. The only thing I could see going to rogues would be tumble which combined with rescue would make them awesome group fighters without buffing them to much.

Centaurs on the other hand I see has having issues. I really dont know all that much about centaurs there is a lack of them because of their easy to target weaknesses. I am not sure this is a centaur issue rather than a weapons in the game issue but it needs to get addressed. A warlock is the only race I would consider them for myself. Good wis and con makes for a good elemental and resist elements gives you a chance to counter some weakness. Second row fighting gives you another chance to counter weakness. Tribunals and cabals can really take a centaur warlock to the next level but something should probably be looked into with centaurs I just dont know what.

Playing a Rogue as my main class, they are very powerful. (Mine is master 1) And knowing the various backstabbing weapons, which do the most damage and when to use them, yeah you can put up a hell of a fight, IF you get the first strike. Without the backstab, you're pretty much crushed.

The scrolls thing is debatable. Triple scrolls sayof FoD or Harm could decimate pretty much anyone or anything you run into, the problem is actually getting them. Having them scribed i hear is very tough (never scribed before so I just go off those who have scribed) and I don't think you can buy them as far as I know.

Arguably yeah, Rogues are a very powerful class, especially know how to play them (I'm still learning mine myself and I get killed a ton lol) Rogues have a few options available other than scrolls if they can't get the l337 pwnage triple scrolls, so I say they're fine is. (Crossbow / skirmish = fun stuff)

As for centaurs..Yeah, they have a GLARING weakness which is aim low. Two hamstrings from a rogue mangles both legs and all other low blows go to the critical area (Don't get any ideas.) and without armor, they take a lot of damage, even from weak weapons. Personally, I feel this could be resolved with some sort of custom leg armor for centaurs or so. Even with that they still have fire weakness which it's easy to find a few flaming weapons. Just my opinion.

I was always under the impression that one set of horseshoes covered the "legs" on a centaur, and one set of horseshoes covered the "feet." This would mean that they don't really have an aim lower vulnerability at all if it's true. Haven't really ever played a centaur for long, though.

Giving centaurs two more dex would make them much more appealing despite their other weaknesses.

Horseshoes have protection values so I assume they must give some defense for their legs. Centaur priests and shamans can level very quickly and easily with kick and refresh and their blunt resistance helps a ton against a lot of NPCs. Half the hits from the NPCs in the chancel were bouncing off of silk on my centaur. Of course no one uses blunt weapons so that resistance is worthless in PK while there are several fire weapons and a few spells that can be used to exploit their weakness.

1) I could definitely get behind giving rogues tumble. ;)

2) Cannibal's magic hands are used for dirty things.

and

3) I think that the second set of shoes is just to make up for the loss of enchant slot and doesn't boon your overall AC or your leg AC. If it did, I would assume that their feet get double the armor value while their legs get zero. Regardless, aim lower makes a big difference.
