Necromancer pretty well balances griffon.

Now, if you want a dark-only race, you need to come up with a BADASS light-only class.

I would not mind seeing minotaurs or orcs? But I still think that there all a lot of things that could be worked on before this.

Minotaurs wouldn't work. Maybe on another mud, maybe a coupla players here, but we're looking for something lots of people would play. You can only do so many things with a cow's head. Same issue with orcs, just less severe.

not really. Griffons are a relatively common magical critter. (I'm talking outside of the game.) You have griffons in stuff like harry potter and lord of the rings (almost), whereas minotaurs are pretty rare. People understand griffons/birds better, and they can make believable characters out of them. Minotaurs aren't even sentient beings.

Okay I would give ya minotuars. I think that they are more common then you would like to admit but fine. But what about orcs are like in just about every thing that I can think of.
