Omnn ganked me, in Teron Inn. I was sitting there, writing down a better
description... and whack! I was an Initiate even. But as you can see, I haven't left. I have tried to return some favors atleast. Good times.

I would like to point out that AT NO TIME is it wrong to be courteous oocly, even if your character is the most evil necromancer of all time.

This is a game, nothing more, keep in mind that people play it and without said people, the game dies.

While that doesn't mean play with kid-gloves on, it does mean that if someone really doesn't understand why you PKed them, do take the time to oocly explain it.

Most often you will find it is because they are mistaken about something and/or a completely new player.

Newbie courtesy is always appreciated, especially on a game with such a steep learning curve.

my very first character in the game was a diabolical raven warlock from ayamao... and as luck would have it my HF was head of the adepts (not that I knew) and so people assumed I was an adept ( I was not)... It was however a really cold bath into the world of PK and SK...

If people cant handle being PKed, I remember thiere being a post about how to avoid being PKed. someone should direct them to it.

Just to let peopl know. Entering any game in which players can kill achother, thiere WILL be pointless killing of lowbies. Its a fact. dont want to deal with it dont joina mud with PK...

Yes, you do have a point, but pk is suppose to be rp related. If that is the case then you better have a reason for killing said newb. I know when I was first starting out someone ganked me and they said something to me stating that it wasn't personal, I was just in the way. It will help keep newer players staying knowing that they were killed for a reason instead of someone just going around ganking newbies. I know if I was in a mud and the IMM's allowed freelance ganking of newbies, I wouldn't stay in that mud long.

pointless hunting of lowbies should never be allowed. It is weak sauce by the hunter as well. However, People do place thiere character loot above the life of a random joe noobs. So if they are raiding, got out of a fight or whatever, thiere will be random deaths. Like I said, I was actively hunted and killed many times over. Now I know the reasons at the times I felt the mud was VERY combative. truthfully it exicted me to know people hunted me, I had to watch my back be ready for combat at any moment and that is why I came to a mud with PK.

However, AFTER the killing of a lowbie, I do believe people should respect thiere corpse and what not. maybe help them get back to life if just by giving the name of a friendly priest if need be. But thats as far as I would take it. Dont want to die in accidentel/random PK, Top mud sites has plenty of NO PK muds for you to play...

P.S people who play without PK in thiere muds are the people who play video games on easy mode becuase they suck, were born to suck, cant help that they suck, suck when they exhale, and will always suck.

Okay - tell me this is acceptable behaviour or not...

I have a Nov (1) alt... so I am sleeping in the sewers (exile), needing to regain some PE. So, in walks Teh_Bighsot and first of all curses me, then attacks me... I flee, he chases me down, I flee he chases me down. Eventually I die.

That isn't enough for him, so he take my corpse, says something or another...

"Amnpc nmun sgd kbmet pg ptq fodlhdr!'"

Great... and then legs it.

I was afk, I admit, which I don't usually do. I had something to take care of (all 5 mins worth) and thought, well a lowbie in a lowbie area, asleep... I should be fine.

Is this something I should be complaining about?

So, I should complain?

a) cry on the forums?
b) stamp my feet and tell my ma I hate her?
c) or... what is the correct process?

My personal suggestion is to PM/email an Imm, and keep a log for if/when it is requested.
