I asked for barding to be tailorable already, right after it was introduced. Dulrik said no, I don't remember why. If you search for my posts maybe you can find it. I'm lazy to do it.

I agree about skin. I don't use it. The only thing I ever skin with my scout is flying serpents for noobs. There's enough mithril out there that there's not reason to even bother skinning. I tried to skin a bit and it was so hopeless I gave it up. That's not just mithril. That's tanso steel too.

Total waste of time. I'd rather have skin taken out and be given the ability to make my own bow and repair my own gear or something then have what skin has been reduced too now.

So uh... what is the general consensus of being able to tailor skins into barding?

I'd be for the tweak to leggings tailored by centaur characters to be flagged and redescribed as able to be worn by quadrupeds automatically. I can't see any reason they'd be likely to tailor a pair of leggings that do not fit them.

Thank you, Trexor.

I don't like to argue with Dulrik, but that is not much of an arguement. The equipment is out there? Well there's alot out there. There's boots, and vests, and bracers, and leggings, and gloves, and backpacks out there, there's belts out there, there's coifs out there....

I mean why bother tailoring anything? It's all out there. Why not just go find something instead of tailor armor? If you don't want to do it because you don't feel like it, that's one thing, but because barding exists it shouldn't be tailorable? That's not really much of an arguement. As I said everything you can tailor is out there.

Thanks for making barding though, it's a nice addition, even if tailors are predudice against it.

I don't think the point is that it's out there so much as he doesn't want it readily available.
