Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that they weren't. Bash's success rate goes up with the user's weight, too, though I'm not sure if victim's weight is take into account.

I'm still curious as to what this recent bash change is, though.

That was implemented in March of last year. Not exactly recent.

Nor is it in any way, shape, or form a deterent to spam bashing beyond level 15. Doesn't mean that's not what was being addressed.

I should note that I don't believe spam bashing is the king of combat in SK, but for how little skill it requires, it's too effective.

Disabling a character is, and always will be the king of combat in SK - (see my last post about unreasonable character customization.)

When you force players to choose between save vs. bash/trip/dirt kick and having enough mana, concentration, art, hitpoints and movement points to be able to actually PLAY their character class you have a serious issue by allowing a player to permabash another class. I think that trip should follow suit with this as well.

This is obviously apparent in a melee vs. caster scenario. If you want to permabash someone, spam the bash like every other noob melee character - just don't expect it to last three rounds like it used to. Why are you complaining again?

I will say in support of this that there should be a notification when a player is relieved of their bashed/tripped status.
