Like you were hiding something. How many times have I seen someone using a pet to butcher or skin a corpse when it makes absolutely no sense and pretty much cheapens the skill for those that do have it. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'll take it. I really hate this alot more, though: going into a room and seeing 1245 steaks.

No, people just shouldn't bring up certain aspects of the game imo. It isn't necessary. Though, if you are going to change anything about the nightmares why not change their horrible description?
