I agree with removing skirmish from everyone but scouts. Merc get bows and crossbows in order to PULL things to them, not to become heavy armor wearing uber scouts.

Skirmish makes mercs too mindless. Leaving it as a scout-only skill would be a cool move.

If you limit skirmish from every class but scouts you will get hardly any skirmishes because it will be so heavily weighted in the scouts favor people will just dart away from the fight. You are still left with the giant crossbow problem which more damage than speed. I see removing skirmish as not a fix hardly even a band aid solution to the actual problem range attacks are to powerful.

Personally Id like to see a skirmish like skill for warrior classes to use with melee weapons so you can get the jump on on people by laying traps. Sit at a guard post actually guarding, so someone cant run past before before you can react because they spam some commands. Would make sneak more useful.

Range weapons need a tweak to keep them reasonable. Dropping accuracy at rooms range would be a good start. Altering the damage and or speed on some of them. A crossbow was not exactly a quick fire weapon. You need to retake your stance and aim every shot with a crossbow. At least with a bow you can keep your target in your sight.
