That was a good point. Mentor system is a system to help newbies, not something one should think at how he should be better at it to justify dumping points in charisma.
Consider my thead moot :p
Oh and Goldlantern? Would you really trust a decrepid old man to teach you about swinging the sword right?
You've been watching too many kungfu movies haven't you?
I'll insist on this point though. Charisma needs to be more vital like the rest of them stats.
Its true, in all rpg's, charisma is usualy the dumpstat for anyone other than a bard and sorc, but if your DM actualy promotes RP, Charisma will effect the reaction of others towards you. Not sure how you can implement that on SK. Maybe attach a coded string at the bottom of your desc describing your character's general awesomeness?
Example of a charisma 5 character:
Quote:
You see a man, about 6 feet tall, blahblahblahblahblahblahblah
end of playerwritten desc
For some reason,a grim male human seems to get on your nerves just by standing there.
Overall, A grim male human is in excellent condition
Example of a charisma 25 character:
Quote:
hello i are new and eskay this is my desk lol its not 5 lines
yet but i will work on it kthx!
You find yourself captivated by just being in the presence of a newbie female elf
Overall, a newbie female elf is in excellent condition
Put that in, and we'll see how many people are going to be feeling indiferent about leaving their charisma at distant :egrin:
