Ok, so when you get older you lose a point of str as your char becomes weaker with age.

If you have an att point to spend can you buy that point of strength back (assumeing you were at racial max to begin with)

No it sets the max str/con down upon aging. Figures warriors get weaker with age while casters get stronger, warriors really need some compensation for aging as it only benefits casters.

If my memory serves me correct Vermillion is correct. It may also be good to point out that you loose one on you max dex as well after the first age tick. As to Vermillions off topic comment: To a huge extent I agree. But thats another topic for gameplay or GD.

After the second age tick, your char looses another point of str/con/dex but gets +1 on int and wis.

question:

When the age tick is reached, does the int and wis automatically go up, or just the max limit goes up and you have to rely on mods to reach that new max?

I believe it automatically goes up. As in, if you max int at 22, (NOTE: numbers are only examples) and you reach the second age tick, then you have an int of 23.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't trust sleeper on this.

Last I knew, and this is most likely still true, all that changes when you age is your MAX possible stat for each attribute. Your stats will not change unless you have a stat maxed, and even then it will only go DOWN to match your new max in that stat.

So:

Str= 20
Max Str = 20

Old age:
Max str = 19
Str -> reduces to 19

but:
Int = 19
Max Int = 20

Old age:
Max Int = goes up to 21
Int = stays 19

So, if I've got this right, maxing str = permanent loss of statpoint at age tick.

Age only adjusts maximum values, which means you never gain any new points, only lose if you were above your new maximum.

So I stand correct.

This is why you don't always trust everything you are told. :P
