I know what each one does, but does one grant more life than the other?
It just seems like if you had unhealthy con, HP would be the better of the two, whereas if you had dwarven CON 1 away from max, CON would be the best choice. amirite?

And what's the deal with MODDED con? Why?

Both can be modded. The difference is con gives you fort save, HP does not. HP gives you slightly more HP.

I believe stretching my memory back that it was stated that point for point HP trains will always give you more HP than a con train. I could be wrong but that would mean your con trains are static in value compared to each other, although I think like other things it has a level relation tied into it aka the con train at level 1 is the same as the con train at level 30 but at level 30 both are giving you more than than at any point below level 30. If that make sense.

I do recall there was a time long long ago that you got bonuses based on your atts at the time of leveling but I believe those are in the past.

Could someone confirm, or not, that HP trains (not mods) also increase HP regen?

HP trains increase regen, mods do not. Just like mana trains.

HP trains are definitely the best bang for your buck. Con doesn't increase as much as you think.

With 15 hp trains my elf mercenary regens 40-45% hps at the tick. I think without it you're lucky to get 15%.
