A question I've had for a long, long time, but just never bothered to ask: I know that you cannot be a member of more than one cabal with multiple characters. Does that same rule apply to religions? let's say I'm the High Knight of Fear. Out of boredom I build an alt, and decide to make a lighty priest. Any clerical char cannot cast spells without a religion. Do I have to pick which one I want to keep?

There's no limitations on the number of religions a player can join with his/her characters. It's perfectly understandable to have characters in multiple religions, although I would say that it's not a good idea to have multiple leaders of religions played by the same person.

I'd definitely agree with that last part. Too much of a conflict of interests. Could you imagine someone being High Knight of Ain, and High Priest of Marfik, or High Priest of Mira and High Knight of Algorab? It'd be a major theological crisis!

The only time you are the high follower of two religions is when there is absolutely no one else....(ability to do this and do it properly really depends on the player...I've seen some do it remarkably well).

But yes, you can have multiple characters with each being in a different religion.
