Can someone tell me how well this spell works with the said spells it can remove. Such as Charm person and Control undead. And im also curious what 'hold person' is, found at the very end shown below. Quote: Examples of compulsions include charm person,
domination, confusion, chaos, control undead and hold person. |

Hold Person is a NPC only spell, kinda like the Ain religious spell. Or some may say it's an Aludran spell that helps them mudsex better. |

Fixed. Replaced hold person with interdiction. |

That's really interesting. Somehow I never caught that interdiction, chaos, confusion all could be canceled by remove compulsion. Now I love that spell even more. |

PS. I wanted to follow up with more of a real reply but I'm not clear what you are asking. The thread title is cancellation but you are quoting the text that explains remove compulsion. Which of these spells do you want to know more about? |

Wow, that makes me never want to play a priest that doesn't have remove compulsion. |

Quote: Remove compulsion is similar to cancellation in that it is not an attack spell but it specializes in removing the compulsion effects that are hard to eliminate with cancellation. From what I see, these two do the same things. One just has a far more greater chance of successfully removing the compulsion. I was not expecting a very clear answer, because well this is me being lazy. I was just curious if the Cancellation spell was even worth(success rate against these types) using when it came to fighting things like Controlled Undead, charms, and so on. While I'm sure the better option is just focusing on the holder of those spells. |

If you have remove compulsion, you should use it for compulsive spells. If you don't have it, cancellation works albeit at a less successful rate and it also removes a bunch of effects that remove compulsion doesn't touch. |

Cancellation is useful for a broader range of spells than remove compulsion. Remove compulsion doesn't affect spells like chill touch, faerie fire, or the like. Cancellation does. It also has a lowered chance of hitting the spells covered by remove compulsion. |

Cancellation also casts faster. |
