If it lands on someone that is prone, when they regain their footing to they automatically flee?

well that sucks... If it lands but they cannot flee why then does it still stick in your release list? Seems like a waste of concentration to me.

If you leave the room, they can't follow until said affect wears off. I'm just guessing.

I have been bashed and forced to flee from the spell. That was before prone was put into the game though and I havent had the fear spell effect me prone yet.

I kinda wish it would affect prone people... they crawl away in terror! Thats kind of a serious wimp to such a great spell then since they used to flee even if bashed.

Actually, if you have their frontrow bashed, and then fear their back rows out because they weren't prone, you have a pretty setup. From a necro standpoint, the change is rather positive imo.

Thats true, it didn't affect group v group too much...

But I'm a permanewb and I like 1v1 so I try to fear pets/meatshields. So I guess its only a partial wimp? Im now wondering if it was a known or unexpected consequence of the prone system.

Fear is a group affect spell, so trying to fear the meatshield won't make too much difference. :P And even with prone, I have found it extremely effective in a variety of situations.
