| Post subject: | How to know items' stats? |
Hello! I'm very new here and I faced a little problem: there are a lot of different items, but no obvious possibility to know for sure their properties. One helpful character told me that it will be helpful to make friends with an adventurer of class able to identify items, but I wonder whether there are more individualistic ways for a miscreant centaur mercenary which I am. I know about compare command, but its functions are limited. Thank you. |

You can tell about the physical properties of items using the compare command, but to determine its magical properties, you'll need to get someone who can cast the spell identify. A bard might be able to tell you about some items with their lore skill. You might also just try putting things on and using the attribute and score commands to see if any of your stats change or if you can carry more. |

Sorcerors, priests, hellions, paladins, necromancers, and shamans all have identify, I believe, so if you're looking for someone to identify something, those are the classes to look for. |

Miscreants use others for their benefit. They may not consider themselves needing help but causing others to do their bidding. That being said, mercenaries need the help of other classes to know what properties things have and to improve those properties. |
