Ok, so how do i use another program other than telnet? The words i type still aren't showing up on the screen.

Putty rocks. Or just shell out a few bucks and use Zmud. Which I broke down and paid for.

There are several threads in this forum talking about other MUD clients... those are what you want to go for. I personally use MUSHClient, but all of them should provide a window that you can type commands into before sending them to the game.
