Dose the size of the crossbow/bow matter? Take for example the griffon crossbow you can buy in Nerina is size medium while the longbow is size large. The griffon race is large and I know that weapon damage will be reduced from an item if you are not the same size as it. However does that matter if you are shooting things? If it does shouldn’t the crossbow in that shop be size large. The crossbow cannot be resized because it is made of wood.

Again I am just asking.

Size should be affecting damage. Specifically the size of the ammo. Since you can only load correctly sized ammo into a weapon, the size of the crossbow does indirectly matter.

I've recently discovered a nifty little spells set for sorceror's - enlarge and shrink. Very handy.

The crossbow is likely undersized so that weaker griffons can use it. Certainly get it enlarged and try it out; it can always be reduced. Tribunal members should be able to help you, as well as sorcerors.

And since this comes up a lot: there is no advantage in having weapons sized larger than your body. Indeed, there's a penalty of additional encumbrance and thus maximum strength needed to wield the weapon.

crossbows are the one exception to the rule that you should always use the same sized equipment as yourself. Since, crossbows do the actual damage and not the person.
