There is WAY more awesome armor now than there was in the "golden age." We're just spoiled at this point.

Bring us 100+ players online simultaneously and I will personally see that more cool things get added for your playing pleasure.

All I was trying to get it is that perhaps a vet could do what I had mentioned another player from my old mud had done. I mentioned the smallness of the world in order to point out that it's more doable! I'd love to get another 50-100 players on the game. However, I don't think increasing the world size would be my first priority.

It should be this muds main priority is boosting players. Im sorry but as Rhaytin posted....sitting in an inn with no one around is boring as heck. So Id like to see what happened 2 years ago when we boosted up to about 40-49 players a day. So......yes we should all be focusing on getting more peeps

Slow your roll bro.. I wasn't talking about the playerbase size increase not being a priority. All you have to do is read the second to last sentence to know what I think. World size = map size... not playerbase. What my point was is that there are other things in the game that are probably a bigger priority that increasing the Vmap size.

To get back to the original request...

Would it be possible to add labels to cities and areas of interest so that people can see these on the worldmap instead of just seeing it.

The breadth of the Google Maps API is at our disposal, so it'd be fairly easy to add some push-pins of some kind. I'll make this offer: if someone comes up with a suitable (subtle!) marker image - or markers if they're feeling ambitious - I'll do the necessary code changes to drop them onto the map in the right positions.

To clarify if that I'm referring to is unclear:

...the markers in the above image would look garish and inappropriate on the SK World map.

Does google have any guidelines/restrictions on the image used? IE pixel dimensions or file type?
