Ah if I could only remove the polemace subtypes, I think that the problem would be solved. Priests shouldn't have reaching weapons. I'd actually prefer to see any reaching subtype removed or labeled a polearm. What makes a polemace not a polearm? Isn't a naginata a sword on the end of a stick? A halberd is a variation of poleaxe, right? I know that polemaces are limited because non-melee classes should consider it a lucky thing to have a reaching weapon. There are exotics which reach, I do believe, beyond just polemaces.

If a caster shouldnt have a reaching weapon, then take sanctuary off of high level training areas. :/

Its really annoying to spam 20 times before getting passed sanctuary to cast a spell.

Oh i know about Pole-maces, you can buy them in the shops. I was mostly looking for a staff that reaches, I know i get more xp from casting, but the having something that reaches keeps you in battle, easier to see what the monster's health is.

In that case, you should get a one-handed reaching weapon, like a lance or something, and even though you won't do any damage, you'll still target your enemy through combat. Shrink it one size smaller if its too heavy for you to wield.

Here's a bit of a logical thing for the OP.

A pole-mace is a mace on a stick.
A pole-axe is an axe on a stick.
A pole-arm is an arm(sword) on a stick (traditionally)
....
Who puts a stick on a stick?

Since we can wield a landsknecht...

A deadly uke-seme is here.
A deadly uke-seme is a medium-sized pole-staff made of wood.

I imagine a pole-staff would be one of those 3-smaller-staffs-attached-by-chain things that jet li rocks people with in fearless.

I would imagine a mage or necro hitting their own charm or pet in the back of the head with something like that more than their opponent.
