Just tell them what my yenko priest used to say.

"You're legs aren't broken, but if you stay here they will be."

Remember what forum you are in . . . don't want to scare any new players off!

Wait till you get something good. Lewt (and the confiscation thereof) is the most important aspect of shattered kingdoms.

In your opinion . . .

I've had thieves take so much good equipment from me in the last few weeks, I've lost count. I'd rather walk around under the radar and not attract such unwanted attention.

The main reason I needed everything back the other night was that I was low on coin since I'd just finished upgrading/repairing all of my equipment and training up my skills. If I'd had the money, I'd just as happily replaced it all.

Baldwama, every item has a 'level'. In order for those pesky thieves not to take all your good stuff whenever you log off, you have to be of equal level or higher than the items you have, otherwise there's a chance they disappear.

When you hit level fifty, a range of really nifty items becomes available. One such item gives you armor (the spell), protection, resist elements, instant mana regeneration, and etherealform. Another allows your player to bash their opponents, regardless of that player's class. Still another gives you invisibility and giant strength. The list goes on.

Trust me when I say that upon receiving items like that, you really, really don't want to lose them.

Another weapon allows you to simply annihalate everyone else in the room except you. It's aptly named, so if you ever run into it you'll know what I'm talking about.

In case you were talking about actual PC or NPC thieves, they can't steal things that are worn on your body or things that are in worn containers worn on your body. You'll learn quickly to keep coins and any valuable items in worn containers (scabbards, quivers, wrist pouches, etc.).

edit: and if you get really good and really lucky, you might get some things that are irreplacable- if junked they will NEVER return. Not on a reboot, repop, or anything like that. [REDACTED] out of luck if you lose it. :P
