Could be, then. I got lucky getting to 10 enchants on an item that I resized magically, if this is the case. As if 10 normally isn't lucky enough.

I have observed that magically resized armor is less likely to take enchantments. However, this could just be confirmation bias.

Reading some enchant armor threads I saw the advice to resize after enchanting because it counts as an enchantment otherwise. There were some reports of items that faded losing reverting to their original size as well. OTOH, using a blacksmith/tailor does not count.

I'm pretty sure that fading an item reverts it to its normal size, even if it was tailored / smith'ed.

There are also some disturbing bugs with shrink / enlarge on a PC and no-magic rooms as well, but I was never able to suss those out.
