MR in general is useless. I always want to gank any sorcs or necros I see using MR. Stop being lazy and get some will/fort/reflex/MP

I seem to remember my MR sorc murdering your MP sorc a few times.

MR is viable for a sorcerer, since they can still use mirror image. MR only blocks self-only spells, like mirror image and etherealform, when used from an item like a scroll or wand. The only option it eliminates is zapping or reciting etherealform to escape.

^^ This. MR is still viable for a sorcerer - not sure any other class should value or use it, though.
