Shattered Kingdoms

We signed up as part of Top Mud Sites yesterday. You can find a vote link to their page in the left navigation bar of the main SK page. The way this works is that every vote we get boosts our ranking on their site. Already as of this time, we've climbed to rank #58 out of #100, but it will take a lot more votes to get us into the top 20. If we manage to make it there, it will mean more visibility for SK and possibly more players.

A few things to note:
1. Instead of setting your bookmark to the forums directly, set it to the main SK page. This will remind you to vote before you log in.
2. Don't attempt to vote more than once every 12 hours. If we get a reputation for cheating, it can hurt our popularity instead of enhancing it.
3. Merely clicking the button does not register a vote for the mud. You have to click the subsequent vote picture on the next page.
4. The vote resets every 15 days, so a one time surge of votes won't be enough. We have to have everyone cast their votes as often as allowed to ensure our visibility persists.

We'd wanted to do a Top Mud Sites link for awhile but never had any real reason to expect people to visit the SK site regularly. I'm hoping that the forums here help do exactly that. By voting, you enhance our changes at having an increasingly more populated game. Thanks.

Shattered Kingdoms is regularly getting in the top 15 MUDs!

A minor change has been made to make it even easier to vote - just launch the voting window, then ensure you click on the subsequent graphic to make your vote count!!

Every 12 hours is the closest time period you can vote in and it resets every 15 days, so keep up the good habit of clicking that voting icon each day. If your browser supports launching new windows, you won't even lose that forum post you are halfway through writing!
